The Art Institute of Houston — North, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston, welcomes new Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Patrick Roddy. Roddy joins the campus after having served as the academic director of Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, Digital Photography and Media Arts & Animation Bachelor of Arts degree programs at The Art Institute of Tucson.
Prior to his academic leadership position, Roddy instructed students as a faculty member at The Art Institute of Tucson and as an assistant professor at McNeese State University.
Roddy’s professional credits include more than 15 years of experience producing, writing and directing feature films, including Good Boy, Red 71, Mercy and Robbing Peter. He was also the president of the Independent Film Association of Southern Arizona and the planning committee chair of the Hanson Film Institute in Tucson.
Roddy holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Fine Arts in Film & TV Producing from the University of California Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Theatre Arts from Montana State University.
