[Jacksonville, FL January 27, 2012] — Graphic Design students from the Art Direction class at The Art Institute of Jacksonville, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design, recently took on First Coast Higher Education Alliance as a non-profit client to create its new logo and identity. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design student, Kenneth Lee's logo was ultimately selected to represent the organization's brand identity.
First Coast Higher Education Alliance (FCHEA), founded in 2005, serves as an educational resource to the community. It is comprised of regionally accredited colleges and universities that work in collaboration to increase awareness of the many higher educational and professional development opportunities for and within the Greater Jacksonville community through awareness expos at community and business locations.
"This class presented some of the most well conceptualized and creative identity solutions I've seen in a long time. Kenneth's winning design is not only representational of the organization's key values but also North East Florida's dedication to education," says Chris Stagl, department chair for Digital Photography, Media Arts & Animation, Graphic Design and Web Design & Interactive Media and instructor for the Art Direction class that took on the project. "I could not be happier with the FCHEA choosing The Art Institute of Jacksonville to redesign their brand, it has been an honor working with them and we look forward to being able to do more design work for the local non-profit community."
