(Jacksonville, FL – March 28, 2012) Isaac Brown, a Digital Filmmaking & Video Production faculty member at The Art Institute of Jacksonville, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design, created a 55-minute documentary entitled “Terra Blight” that is earning high praise everywhere it’s been shown. Brown directed the project, with fellow faculty members Ana Paula Habib as executive producer, and Eric Flagg and Nadia Ramoutar as co-producers.
“Terra Blight” is a 55-minute documentary exploring America’s consumption of computers and the resulting hazardous waste created in pursuit of the latest technology, as well as the devastating effect on the world’s people and environments. The film premiered in January at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City (UT). “Terra Blight” was one of more than 5,000 submissions – and one of fewer than 100 selected for inclusion in the festival.
Yulee (FL) resident Brown and his film have been featured in national media outlets like “Variety” and the “Hollywood Reporter.” “Terra Blight” will be seen at film festivals around the world over the coming year.
