THE ART INSTITUTE OF INDIANAPOLIS PROVIDES OUTLET FOR ARTISTIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Students, are you looking for a place to let your creative juices flow? Parents, do you want your students to have fun learning new techniques to advance their skills while meeting other students with similar interests? Summer Studio Workshop 2009 at The Art Institute of Indianapolis is your answer.
Summer Studio is a five-day workshop from June 22 to June 26 where students are encouraged to push the limits of their creative talent in culinary, design, fashion, and media arts. High School students are given the opportunity to explore their interests in the creative and applied arts through hands-on projects and have interaction with knowledgeable staff and instructors from The Art Institute of Indianapolis.
Days are spent at the school working on projects associated with the program of interest and evenings are spent at chaperoned social activities for the students. Programs are available in Culinary Arts/Culinary Management/Baking & Pastry, Digital Photography, Fashion & Retail Management, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Media Arts and Animation, and Web Design & Interactive Media. Housing is available for participants needing it.
The week long workshop culminates with a portfolio show of the participants work. The show is judged by professionals in the field of study represented. A Best in Show in each program is chosen to receive a scholarship to The Art Institute of Indianapolis.
