About Kansas City and Lenexa

Lenexa is a suburb of Kansas City, with a population of approximately 50,000. Each summer, Lenexa holds The Great Lenexa Barbecue Battle and every fall it celebrates the Spinach Festival.

As a part of the Kansas City metropolitan area, Lenexa provides easy access to Kansas City's amenities. Kansas City has many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as a small-scale replica of Paris' Arc de Triomphe. Memorial Hall provides students with the opportunity to see concerts and sporting events.

Sports enthusiasts also enjoy watching Major League Soccer's team, Sporting Kansas City, and attending races at Kansas Speedway.

Large regional employers include General Motors, BNSF Railway, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Associated Wholesale Grocers.
