About Decatur

Decatur is a suburb of Atlanta. With a population of approximately 19,000, Decatur provides a smaller town feel while providing students with quick access to Atlanta, just a short drive or MARTA ride away.

Decatur is known for its historical buildings, many of which are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Decatur's proximity to the city allows sports fans easy access to games featuring the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons. And cultural outings include visits to the Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Alliance Theatre. The city's High Museum of Art is one of the most visited museums in the world according to The Art Newspaper.

Atlanta is a prominent business center with major employers including The Coca-Cola Company, CNN-Time Warner, Home Depot, Delta Air Lines, AT&T, and Georgia Pacific.
